GTNF 2021 to discuss the historical changes Tobacco Harm Reduction is undergoing

The annual meeting of GTNF is kicking off to talk about Tobacco Harm Reduction and its implications on public health policies and science. Since its start in Rio De Janeiro in 2008, the event has become one of the most authoritative arenas to discuss and exchange ideas and views between experts, government representatives, scientists.

The GTNF 2021 “Continuing Change: Innovation and Sustainability” – held in London and online on 21th-23th September- will discuss different topics, including the historical changes Tobacco Harm Reduction is undergoing. Among the others, the future role for THR and the regulatory trends from across the world and the achievements of Tobacco Harm Reduction in shaping governments’ agendas. It will also give voice to consumers to discuss how to amplify and strengthen their voices towards governments.

Top scientists on THR will update the public and discuss the latest research for Tobacco Harm Reduction and the misinformation in the media around scientific evidence. Part of the meeting will deepen the latest ideas and products developments of the market with industry commentators and investment analysts discussing the global opportunities for electronic cigarettes and related products.

Among the panellist Prof. Riccardo Polosa, a leading scientist in the field of electronic cigarettes and founder of the Center of Excellence for the Acceleration of Harm Reduction (CoEHAR); Clive Bates, director of Counterfactual Consulting and founder of the Blog “the Counterfactual”; ; Derek Yach, founder and president of the Foundation for a Smoke-Free World; Samrat Chowdhery, former president of the International Network of Nicotine Consumer Organizations; Sudhanshu Patwardhan, director of policy at the Centre for Health Research and Education. Joe Murillo, chief regulatory officer at Juul Labs;Ian Monteith, global anti-illicit trade operations director at JTI; David O’Reilly, director of scientific research for BAT;
